I agree with you man, but the swat force was doing this without knowing the person who called in, made false claims.

The call to the police was stating the man was an active shooters who was armed an dangerous. He had hostages as well.
-
Why would your shoot first if you didn’t know if the person was the shooter or the hostage?
-
Seriously. How often do hostage takers just casually answer the door to cops anyways? Nothing about the SWAT team's actions make any logical sense and it is insane that ppl are trying to justify this as normal or acceptable.
-
I’m not justifying it, I think it’s awful tbh. I wish people would realize the man who made the call should be in just as much trouble
-
I'm talking more about the many people I've seen who bend over backwards to excuse any actions by police as justified. It has to end. But yes, the guy who made the call needs to face repercussions as well. All around there was a disregard for the value of human life. Tragic.
-
Oh yes of course. 100% I agree with what you’re saying. Most police think with a badge and a gun that they’re above the law which has to end

The call was that the man had murdered his father, and was holding his mother and sister hostage. That he was going to murder both of them if he saw the cops. Police in the US have definitely committed atrocities. This was not one of them.
-
A father minding his own business in his own home who happened to be unarmed(although owning a gun is legal and shouldn't matter) is dead by cop but it's not an atrocity.... put your family member in his shoes and tell me would you say the same thing.

“he was reaching” “he was resisting” “I was afraid for my life” That’s all the judges hear. These cases need to be heard by juries. Not a judge with political ties/bought off.

The fact that they’re not taking responsibly for what happened, even 1% of it, is enraging

This is why weak people shouldn't be police officers. They don't shoot for protection they shoot when they're scared.

Shoot first, ask questions later. Reckless behavior from those who are supposed to protect and serve.

My husband is a Deputy Sheriff& this pisses him off so bad! He says ALL the time he’s been situations where others have shot&he didn’t even have to draw his gun! It’s ALL about repetitive training! Our sheriff MAKES his men train& retrain & RETRAIN & EVERY Dept should do the same!

Got a call tonight saying the alarm was going off at my son’s house & police had been called. I went right over there. My first thought was not about confronting thugs. My first thought was” I hope the police don’t kill me”. This world is beyond crazy.

Then you're paranoid.
