I denounce all hate groups, but American History is Our History, the good the bad and the ugly. If we remove it, will we repeat it?

Or should we let it as stand as a reminder of where we've been and where we should never go again.
-
Keep statues for heroes.
-
One man's hero is another man's villain. Be careful what you wish for. It all depends on who's in control at that point in history.

Very well said.

Might want to know your subject matter before you speak on it. A US History book would be a good place to start for this one.

Also? How about the first thing.

It also doesn't factor in the obvious. They lost.

Doesnt negate having a statue for the man. Otherwise it would never have been constructed. Its ok to not like it. Not to tear it down.

This country doesn't need statues memorializing traitors who fought to keep humans as property. Especially statues erected during Jim Crow

Easy, easy. Keeping a piece of work in history doesn't mean to support the idea behind it. It's just a history. Shall we destroy Colosseum?pic.twitter.com/P55y7WOKLP

History happened as it is. We can't change it, but we can remember it. Trying to eliminate unpleasant part of history is not a good habit..
-
statues built 80 years after war as show of support for racism. They're not civil war artifacts. Colosseum analogy ridiculous.
-
Plus men and women of all classes gathered at the colosseum to watch both slaves and free people murder eachother.
-
But it still represents slavery.
-
idk free men would fight in the arena as well
