I don't disagree however the threshold would have to be lowered. Difficult to reach it w/o the Supers.
Democrats should get rid of super delegates. They just confuse people and arouse suspicion. Let the people decide.

open elections are scary. People from other party can take over primary to nominate a less viable candidate

In CA you can register like 2 weeks before the primary. I think that system works to let right people into primary
