No, don’t be coy. That’s not your issue with him. I respect you. Just be honest, you don’t like his politics.https://twitter.com/johnlegend/status/1045538352324177920 …

The rape question goes to his credibility, integrity, temperament. It's not a criminal case. There is no beyond a reasonable doubt standard.
-
So if you were going for a big job, it would totally be ok if someone accused you of sexual assault and gang rape, and everyone believed it, even though there's not a shred of proof? Sure, John.
-
If John was in that position, proof would magically appear. Then 10 years after they wrongly convict him, it would come out the evidence was doctored. And very obviously at that But that’s none of my business.
-
It's a job interview, yet your compadres on the committee were grilling him over yearbook references to farting and endearing monickers given to his friends, while repeatedly asking him to withdraw from the confirmation over hearsay.
-
Not hearsay. Direct testimony from his victim.

But why shouldn’t it be? If these accusations are to be believed, why would you not want a criminal investigation? Him being appointed and then impeached for being convicted of rape would be much better for your political beliefs. Does justice for the alleged victim not matter?
-
It seems it doesn’t, to you. You just care about the blocking of the nomination, which proves SE’s point about this being a political, not a moral, issue for you. No shame in admitting that. The allegations are thinner than paper.
-
My belief that the government shouldn't have power over a woman's uterus is very much a moral issue. My belief that a supreme Court Justice shouldn't be a liar and sexual assualter: also moral
-
Okay, well those seem more political, to me, than moral, but I appreciate the response. Unlike the rest of the right leaning people you’ve interacted with, I’m not going to insult you. Not the biggest fan, but the song you sang in your Curb Your Enthusiasm cameo was pretty good.
-
Oh and if I could get one more response to lighten everyone’s mood, how many takes for everyone to get through Larry’s monologue about having a slight tickle in his anus? I’m guessing Garlin cracked at least 5-10 times.

But you just mentioned R v Wade. You don’t like his politics (which is fine and your right). But believing someone is guilty when there is no evidence other than accusations is reckless. Your opinion on Kavanaugh is based solely on his politics, not facts of the case
-
The Republicans on the Judiciary Committee will not pursue testimony from the other key witness who could corroborate what happened: Mark Judge.
-
The guy who said he didn’t know what Ford is talking about? Do you know what the word corroborate means?

Dummy, stick to music. Or better yet, Google "Stalinism." This is it.
-
Hahaha. Explain how this is “Stalinism”. I dare you.
-
Stalin (and his favorite persecutor Beria) was famous for two things: 1) Bring the man and we'll find the crime, and, 2) The presumption of guilt. You fools are trying to overturn 1,000 years of English Common Law for the sake of your totalitarian politics. "STALINISM!"
-
The level of entitlement that someone has to make that comparison is really revealing
-
Shouting Entitlement is not argument for sane people
-
It's a 4-syllable word. I think he's just trotting it out today for a test run.
