Yeah @johnlegend it IS shameful. But you, professional athletes, and everyone else working in the “entertainment industry” will continue to make MILLIONS, while those in closest contact with our youth will carry on scraping by with their thankless jobs and shit salaries

We also pay trillions in taxes collectively as a nation and I personally pay millions. Our elected representatives have to make wise decisions about how that money is spent. A higher priority should be placed on education, including paying teachers well
-
Don't Blame John, He didn't create this system, the us mint hoards all the money and recycle it to who they want to have money, because trust me, if everybody was paid equally nobody would suffer, I hate the arguement "well why should a doctor be paid the same as a janitor?"
-
Because you'll get sick without sanitation workers then ull need a doctor, why should fast food workers be paid as much as doctors, because U want ur food as fast as U'd want to cash ur check, people are so entitled and it makes me want to punch them :/ im a socialist, sue me

Welcome to education in America. I'm not in it for the money, I just want my students to succeed.
-
Very noble. You still have to eat however.
-
Seriously, it’s a profession, not some sort of religious calling with a vow of poverty.

@BetoORourke wants to increase teacher pay in Texas. Give him support and, if you can, give him your vote.#BetoForTexas#BetoForSenate - 1 more reply

Teachers are so underappreciated. My high school chemistry teacher was amazing. He made science fun. He is the reason I majored in Chemistry. To this day, over a decade later, I am so grateful for him. Teachers deserve more.
-
Search him out and say thanks!

I got this email the other day. THIS. This is what matters.pic.twitter.com/GXALadxYUU

Awesome! I'd like to track down my teacher. I don't think he is on any social media. I saw a picture of him circulating on someone's Facebook a few years back. Everyone was freaking out in the comments, because we all loved him so much.

I don’t know why America doesn’t value teachers. They are professionals with one of the most important jobs in society.
-
Next to parents, they have the toughest, most important job on the planet...helping shape well-rounded, “good” humans
