Then they lose custody of their child or children because they can't post bail and they are in jail for 6 months to a year because they couldn't afford to pay for a new tag. The cycle of poverty in America is cruel and unusual punishment. 2/2

Isn’t the cash put down on bail there to also prevent you from running. If there is nothing to lose from running, wouldnt a lot more people take off before trial? What other collateral could be used would be the question
