Yep, I hate that entitled incel shit. As a nerdy guy myself I'll admit I can enjoy "nerd gets the girl" stories (or "nerd girl gets the guy" in the case of Strictly Ballroom), but try to be vigilant against stories that propagate insidious shit like this.

I prefer to write the stories of "nerd guy gets the girl by being secretly really hot and bangable." Nerd love should be about how she sees he's a hidden gem.

I think this is an important distinction, the difference between "boy goes on character arc to become better person worthy of girl's love" as opposed to "boy is shown he never needed to change and it was The World That Was Wrong and is deserving of girl as prize."
