    They want to hear a story of a problem you faced, how you overcame it, and what you learned in the process. Make sure to highlight this somewhere in your CV and then in the interview steer them down that path. Interviewers love stories.

    It wouldn’t stun me if job posts requiring every cert plus 5+ years experience do so to prevent footprinting/enumeration from social engineers and pentesters. That's the only way outrageous job posts make sense.

    What is your time management policy and why haven’t you written a book on it?

    I use Slack and it doesn’t destroy my CPU/RAM. I close tabs and have minimal open. I run an inbox zero. My desktop’s have nothing on them. AMA.

    I’m about to finish my masters and decided I will not go PhD unless it’s full-time with salary and tuition paid.

    I'm an academic at heart, let me preface by saying that. However, you may find, as I did, that after so many years of primary, HS, undergrad, & graduate school that continuing onward in pursuit of a Ph.D. is not only counterproductive to a normal life but simply unaffordable.

    What CompTIA considers acceptable for Sec+ CPEs, *sigh*. Blog, book, syllabus, or white paper are acceptable but not training courses unless accompanied with certificate of completion. I paid and attended but now realize they won’t be considered. Read the fine print everyone.
