Crazy. Here in Boise target, home depot and mall parking were absolutely packed. Maybe it's more about the local economy.

The Target parking lot here was pretty full, as was Best Buy. The problem as I see it isn’t that some stores have too much parking and some too little — it’s that how much parking a property owner must provide isn’t decided by the owners themselves but by zoning codes.

Not just the “city”, the RESIDENTS of nearly every city ask for more parking spaces at nearly every turn.

If SB8 allowed more than just LIHTC developers to build housing, we could eliminate needless parking, heat islands, and so much more. We can discuss in our weekly housing meetings

The only packed vehicle area here on Black Friday (or any other day) is the triple drive through lanes at the bloody Chik-fil-a. Everything else is an asphalt wasteland.

IMO if municipality care about housing+homeless, they should replace 🅿️ mandates with a new strategy where relevant public entities solely build, operate, & maintain min public 🅿️ segment while allowing private dev on top & let devs choose if more 🅿️ (e.g. residential) is needed.
