I've been wondering what your take on Lovecraft is, John. I only began reading his work belatedly 7 years ago, and though I have issues with his prose style and certain word fixations, I feel he is absolutely essential in contemporary discourse.

I agree. That's what you'll find in the Notes. I've annotated each and every single story and highlighted what its significance is with respect to his body of work as a whole.

If you haven't already, John, I HIGHLY recommend you check out Alan Moore's recent work, Providence. It's a brilliant take on Lovecraft. It was initially released in 12 separate comic book issues from 2015-17, but is available in graphic novel editions now.

Cool, I love Alan Moore. I'll check it out!
