My boyfriend works in QA for a game studio and I feel this. I had a friend say, “He seems really preoccupied with work. Work’s over!” My response: “Not for him.” Thanks for talking about this!

Burnout is brutal, not just for individuals, but for teams. This is one of the biggest situations we see in our consulting work
@Sprintwell. The impact to the people side of product is incredibly costly. It’s always a mindset issue. https://www.sprintwell.com/wasteHvala. Twitter će to iskoristiti za poboljšanje vaše vremenske crte. PoništiPoništi

Spot on! When little problems accumulate slowly, they’re easy to miss, but they drain on everyone’s efficiency + satisfaction. Resolving tech debt is just as important as paying off $ debt.

The cost of internal meetings has to be the biggest drag on productivity. We'd all work 4 days/week if only half were the email they were born to become.

In the worst cases, they're shell shocked. Numb or jumpy. I worked one place where we had one or more Sev 1 outage every week. It was a feckin war zone.

Hence “Mean Time To Problem Resolution” — the longer issues ferment, the more stinky and dreadful they get.
