The more thought I give it, the more I’m becoming an advocate of breaking up the FBI and handing the various missions to the other agencies already doing the work (ATF, DEA, HSI, IRS, etc.). Absolutely. How did they get so powerful with a budget that is expone tially larger than other federal law enforcement agencies? Easy. They do all the background checks on piliticians and political appointees.

They are infinitely less compromised. Look at their budgets and ask yourself why FBIs is exponentially larger than the other agencies. Hint: FBI does all the background checks on politicians and political appointees.
