Harvard students walked out in protest from a lecture by Israeli ambassador Dani Dayan entitled “the Legal Strategy for Israeli Settlement,” or in other words (the legal strategy to violate international law!).

My daughter is a student nurse, when on placement she was on the frontline working in a ward. She contracted Covid19, her grandfather ended up in ICU as he subsequently contracted it once it got into the house. Like all other student nurses all she gets is a round of applause😡
Large groups of America tourists doing the Bray/Greystones Cliff Walk today.
This is crazy, Irish people are being told to avoid all nonessential foreign travel.
In the US a new high of 69,000 new Covid cases was set today, yet they can travel here freely 😡
Ramallah today. This is what the passing of the motion in the Dáil last night means to the Palestinian people. Ireland is 1st Country to declare Israel has illegally De-Facto annexed occupied Palestinian territory🇮🇪✊🏻🇵🇸 #Solidarity #freepalastine #stopthelandgrab
0:53
We have forced a massive shift on the position of the Irish Government. They have stated that Israel has de-facto annexed Palestinian lands. Ireland is 1st EU country to state Israel’s actions break international law. There must be consequences for these actions #FreePalestine
So, my daughter who is a student nurse is due to go on placement on Monday to a hospital that was locked down due to Covid-19. During her last placement in October she contracted Covid-19, at least this time she’ll get €2.85 an hour for her troubles😡 #insult
Tonight’s decision by the Dáil to unanimously support the motion declaring that Israel has illegally annexed Palestinian lands is historic, Ireland is the first country to state that. We need to use that mandate to hold Israel to account for their crimes 🇵🇸✊🏻🇮🇪
1:32
Tonight’s passing of the motion on the illegal annexation of Palestinian lands by Israel, is a historic moment,a victory for justice & a recognition of the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination. Focus now needs to be on the consequences for Israel
The murder of journalist Shireen Abu Akleh by Israeli occupation forces must be investigated as a war crime.
It is clear that this attack is part of ongoing attempts by the Israelis to obscure the truth & reality of the brutal Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories.
So Katherine Zappone lobbied Coveney, Pascal Donohoe & Varadkar for a job. Early March she was offered a job by Coveney, on 23 March Dept then set about to create a position for her. She wrote up her own job description, even proposing an extension from 1-2 years.
So for standing up for human rights & against the apartheid regime of Israel, I’m called ‘toxic’ by former Fine Minister Alan Shatter. I will never stop speaking up for the rights of Palestinians & against the illegal actions of Israel🇮🇪🇵🇸 #freepalastine
International law is not a pick & mix.If it is mean anything it must be implemented equally.Ireland has declared that Israel has broken International Law by Annexing Palestinian territory. We must be consistent in our position on International Law, violators must not be rewarded

Sinn Fein are opposing much needed extra gas for the EU - because it comes from Israel.
They really do oppose everything, even when it will help ordinary Europeans.
Myself & my colleagues & #patriciaRyan are proud to wear masks to show solidarity with Palestine. Prouder to force the Irish Government to declare that Israel has illegally de-facto annexed Palestinian territory. Must now take action to hold Israel to account🇵🇸🇮🇪
Interview today with CNN. Irish people stand with the Palestinian people because we know what it is to have the yoke of oppression & colonization around our neck. #FreePalestine

“Irish people know what it is to have the oak of colonization around our neck. Therefore we acknowledge and stand shoulder to shoulder with the oppressed people in Palestine.”
@johnbradysf as Ireland’s parliament condemns Israel’s actions as ‘de facto annexation’.

Absolutely outrageous suggestion from a Fianna Fáil Senator that some questions today at the Foreign Affairs Committee to the Israeli Ambassador were anti-Semitic. Asking questions about annexation, the right to return & the blockade of Gaza aren’t anti-Semitic.
I’m an elected Sinn Fein public representative for the last 17 years. Never once was I asked my religion, rightfully so too as it’s nobody else’s business. What right has or anyone else got to make assumptions about my or anybody else’s religion, then try politicise it
Israeli Forces Arrest & Terrify Palestinian Children For Picking Fruit!
5 Children between the ages of 8-12 were arrested, south of Al-Khalil (West Bank). Another clear violation of international law, yet its another daily occurrence for Palestinians.

Israeli jets bombing Gaza again this evening. A new ‘change’ government, but not unexpectedly there is no change in the brutal bombardment of Palestinians. The Apartheid Israeli state has a new leader, the ethnic cleansing continues #GazaUnderAttack
Thank you so much to the 17,297 people across Wicklow who believed in me and gave me the #1 vote. 🇮🇪 #GE2020
So Wicklow TD’s Matthews, Donnelly & Harris all voted not to end the exploitation of our student nurses & midwives. They voted not to pay them while working on the frontline during the covid pandemic.
The final vote was 79 not to pay them & 72 to pay them. Shameful stuff!
So, Ministers travelling abroad for St Patrick’s Day this year have been banned from flying first class, hiring limousines or using hotel suites.
Why is this year an exception and not the norm🤷🏻♂️
So Fine Gael’s John Bruton thinks that Sinn Féin are using Irish unity purely for the next election. Wow, we have been campaigning for the next election for 100 years now. #cblive
Israeli Warplanes are bombing Gaza again this evening.
Earlier Israel shot 41 unarmed Palestinian demonstrators in Gaza. The Israeli terror continues while the world shamefully looks away #freepalestine #freegaza

The wisdom of Leo Varadkar never ceases to amaze me🤔 ‘I am willing to talk to Sinn Fein so I can tell them why I won’t talk to them. I don’t know why they won’t meet me.’ 🤣🤣#rtept
Following the decision by Russia to sanction 52 Irish politicians, I believe that the Irish Government must finally move to expel the Russian Ambassador to Ireland. Strong message must be sent in response to the Russian moves.
Supporting the Tigrayan people outside the Dáil, they call on the Irish Government to use position on the UNSC to stop the genocide on the people of #Tigray. Ethiopia must end the genocide, end blockade & allow humanitarian access, thousands are experiencing famine #TigrayGenocide
40 years ago, Bobby Sands was just about to embark on his hunger strike.
‘I am standing on the threshold of another trembling world. May God have mercy on my soul.’
So Eamon Ryan says everyone makes mistakes. True, However to be clear manufacturing a job in the UN for a former cabinet colleague & mate, misleading the Oireachtas & public, deleting messages were no mistakes. Only mistake was getting caught. #TonightVMTV
Fianna Fáil are now saying they want to do something about Pensions now that it has become an election issue🤣 Sinn Fein are the only party to bring forward legislation to abolish mandatory retirement & to stop the pension age hike to 67 #GE2020
So Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael & the Greens have managed to set two records in one week.
11,542 people homeless.
931 people lying on hospital trolleys.
Shame on them!
The longer they stay in power the more hurt & pain they are inflicting on people.
Israeli forces brutally attacking a young Palestinian man in #Jerusalem. This is the grim reality for Palestinians at the hands of the Israeli occupying apartheid forces on a daily basis. #FreePalestine

So it has emerged that Fine Gael weren’t in compliance with Data rules, but hey RTÉ still trying to do a hatchet job on Sinn Fein. Looking forward to Leo getting grilled on that & the criminal investigation into him. Absolutely appalling questioning, should we be surprised🤷🏻♂️
So the Dáil has voted to give the 3 Super-Dee-Duper Junior Ministers a pay hike of €16,288. Slap in the face for the thousands that are having their Covid Welfare payments cut😡
So 51 people have a 50% say in Fine Gaels decision to enter government, whilst their 255 Cllrs have a 15% say.Ordinary members have no vote. They say they have an issue with Sinn Fein’s structures🥴 At least we believe in the bedrock of the democratic process, 1 man/woman =1 vote

@virginmedianews
The partition of Ireland is nothing to celebrate, it is a disaster, economically, socially & politically . The President was right to turn down the invite, not surprised that those who want to rejoin the Commonwealth are to attend. Wrong decision
Gas to see the Labour leader Alan Kelly has no confidence in Phil Hogan now. He had every confidence in him when he continued the role out of water charges when he took over as Minister for the Environment.
So the leader of Fianna Fáil the party that crashed the economy is refusing to talk to Sinn Féin due to “irreconcilable” differences in economic policy🤣🤣🤣
Well Micheál Martin we live in a society and not an economy! It says more about your values than anything.
So both FF and FG are given an opportunity to get stuck into Sinn Fein in our absence. No right to respond. This is why they don’t want us there. This is absolutely disgraceful! Shameful stuff. I know people will see this for what it is. #vmtvbigdebate #GE20
So says sorry for hurting Pascal Donohoe’s feelings by making reference to something his party done in the past. 🤔
For the last 3 weeks Sinn Féin have been pushing for a debate in the Dáil on the report that finds Israel guilty of the crime of apartheid. The debate will now take place next week. The Government must accept the evidence & state Israel is guilty of Apartheid.
Absolutely sickening images of Israeli occupation forces beating crowds carrying the casket of murdered Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh. Not even in death is Apartheid Israel satisfied with their brutality of Palestinians. #FreePalestine
Unbelievable interview with Mary Lou on Sinn Féin is focused on building a bright, better future for all, whilst some have a bleak agenda of keeping us in the past. Some find it hard to deal with change. But you can’t stop change, because it’s coming fast.
Fianna Fáil- the party of the landlord!
Why would they want to resolve the housing crisis!
Simon Coveney misled the Foreign Affairs Committee yesterday on a number of grounds. He says he didn’t speak to Zappone when she was in Dublin or relay anything to her. Yet he clearly informed Varadkar that he spoke to her on the 19th July, when she was in Dublin.
Politicians, Bankers, Judges, Journalists.
The old boys club is alive and well. This is everything that’s wrong in our society and why it needs to change so much. The Golden Circle must be broken. #golfgate
So Sinn Fein, the 3rd largest political party, only a couple of % behind FG is excluded from the debate on rural Ireland! The RTE bias is unbelievable, also is it not a conflict of interest to have the sister of a FF TD/candidate as moderator?
People ask what is annexation? Well here it’s is & the Irish Government have declared that Israel are guilty of breaking international law by de-facto annexing occupied Palestinian territory 🇮🇪🇵🇸 #FreePalestine
Watching & listening to Bob Geldof recount Live Aid & the horror of the famine in Ethiopia that brought it about on the #LateLateShow. I can’t help but think of the reoccurring situation in the #Tigray region of Ethiopia, the genocide, humanitarian crisis & famine that’s happening
Old British postbox on the Dargle Road in Bray. 100 years of green paint on it now.
Pending today’s vote on annexation we in Ireland are on the cusp of creating a moment in history which will not only be heard around the world, but I believe we may well come to look back on as the moment that acted as the catalyst for the defeat of the Israeli policy of apartheid
1:47
This is a major result & a huge embarrassment for the Government. Regina Doherty & Leo Varadkar have consistently said that there was a legal basis, however when I & others asked where was it, they couldn’t show it.
Here’s a a pic of Sinn Féin TDs, Markievicz & Etchingham bullying a crowd at the Billy Byrne monument in Wicklow Town. The other pic is Eoin O’Duffy, former Fine Gael leader & his mates in their nice Blueshirts at a rally.
One clearly is a normal party, the other clearly is not🤷🏻♂️
So is getting a tougher grilling on #rtept on what Sinn Fein would do different with the Climate Action Plan, than the government minister who is responsible for the plan. Very biased interviewing. The Minister got off extremely lightly!

She continued to lobby right up until the Cabinet meeting in July. Very clear this is a stitch up, pure & simple cronyism & a bad attempt to try coverup by deleting texts, misleading the committee & changing their story. Absolutely rotten.
The significance of the Irish Government supporting the motion to declare that Israel has de-facto annexed Palestinian territory is huge. This should be the catalyst now in holding apartheid Israel account for their continued breaking of international law

Slap in the face for everyone that are struggling.
While conscious of the need to maintain a space for dialogue and diplomacy, Sinn Féin believes that the situation in Ukraine has reached a point where the expulsion of Russian ambassador to Ireland constitutes a warranted response.
The Israeli onslaught continues. Where is the international pressure on Israel to stop the slaughter.

RTE in their report only carry interviews with the occupiers, those breaking international law. Imagine in the case of the illegal invasion of Ukraine RTE only carried interviews with Russians spinning their false narrative. There would be outrage. Palestinians are the victims!
Sinn Féin has had a long fraternal relationship with the Cuban people and continues to support their right to self-determination, an end to foreign intervention and demands the US lift their illegal trade blockade #UnblockCuba #EndTheBlockade
Best of luck this evening to our own lightweight champion Katie Taylor who is defending her title against Spain’s Miriam Gutiérrez 🥊🇮🇪 #KatieTaylor
Just signed and handed in a declaration refusing the TDs €7,769.97 pay raise for 2020. All politicians are paid too much as it is. We should be cutting all TDs pay, not giving unwarranted pay rises.
So the man that brought us Water Charges is the forerunner to become the leader of the Labour Party. Good to see that they are looking to a man with a strong pedigree of standing with ordinary people to help rebuild their party 🥴🤷🏻♂️
Absolutely honored to have been appointed to the frontbench by Mary Lou.
I will be taking on the Foreign Affairs & Defence portfolio
It’s a new portfolio for me, but one that I have a keen interest in & one where there are many issues & challenges ahead.
Powerful stuff from Mary Lou. This is why the old boys club don’t want Mary Lou or Sinn Féin around✊🏻

So there you have it, Michael Martin says Fianna Fáil didn’t bail out the banks. So where is the €64billion gone. Does that mean my kids don’t have that debit around their necks? Someone better tell Stephen Donnelly🤷🏻♂️
Totally unacceptable that the letter from to the Committee on Foreign Affairs & Defense was leaked to the media before committee members got to see it. I was sent a copy by a journalist, still haven’t been notified by the chair if he has received it

If Fine Gael think that stability is 931 people lying on hospital trolleys, 870,097 on hospital waiting lists & 11,542 homeless in this State, God help us.

After 3 weeks of continuous attacks on Sinn Fein, this opinion poll has come out. It might just help focus some minds! People voted for change & nothing is going to stop that desire, until a government of change is in place.
Both Fianna Fáil & Fine Gael are trying to drive a dangerous agenda of dropping our neutrality and joining NATO. They are afraid to enshrine neutrality in our constitution because they know the majority of the public don’t support them.

I welcome the announcement of a ceasefire in Gaza, Israel must be held to account for their war crimes. Action must also be taken to deal with the apartheid Israeli policy of remove, fragment and replacement which is the root of the issue. #FreePalestine
So 9 Independents vote for Michael Martin as Taoiseach. The message here is a vote for Independents is a vote for FF/FG and Greens. 🤔
So the Dáil opposed a Sinn Fein proposal to cut short the planned 6 week summer break.
There are many important issues that need to be discussed in the Dáil, they shouldn’t be forced to wait until 15th September.
Shamefully FG, FF the Greens & ome Independents voted against it

More land grabbing by the apartheid Israeli state. This is annexation, it’s a serious breach of international law & Ireland has called it as it is. There needs to be consequences for law breakers. #FreePalestine
Well done to all the activists from who collected & handed in a petition containing over 88,000 signatures calling for the expulsion of the Israeli Ambassador. This is a strong message from the Irish people that there must be consequences for breaking international law.
So Katherine Zappone has declined the opportunity to address the foreign affairs committee. I think it’s an abdication of her responsibilities as a former Government Minister to put this controversy to bed. #zapponegate
