I understand and hear your point of view. But I have not lost my optimism nor my experience of business as a force for good.
This is, to say the least, a disappointing rebuttal. I have examples. You have "I disagree." Do you even have any counter-examples? Any proof that companies have ever, as a norm, put principles above profit? American business helped fuel the Third Reich. When was that Democratic?
Also you should put this as a response on Med. itself, so your readers can see "I disagree" & decide whether that's really a sufficient counter-argument.
