They will need to design it with more nuance than they have provided this far. How will they avoid tyranny of the commons? how will they avoid hyperpartisanship?
Honestly if they don't open the approach to research/academics, it will end up being "on them" no? Curious what @noUpside thinks...

I think the survey method lets them avoid allegations of bias and complaints about elitism. And yes, a tyranny of the commons situation is the big risk with this approach - but right now they’re too prone to tyranny of the small minority.
