I’m totally on the other side of this. Never been easier to share and discover music. Plus I can play music in any room in my house on Sonos and listen in my car or headphones wherever.

I didn’t say it isn’t easy to discover & listen. I am saying it has listed the loving feeling which came w/ discovery of music. Subtle difference in loving technology & its convenience vs loving the discovery & serendipity of relationships that formed because of it :)

Of course, but look on the bright side. When I tell you that Snow https://open.spotify.com/album/19KbCZVQpfC3eyD4Db3Vrq?si=TFQwe9uxRpqL0717eurjNA … is my favorite album of 2017, you can listen right away.

@Ruxputin publishes a playlist, I can discover new bands and go deep into the ones I like2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -
As I said in my post, when Ruxo published, I'd buy that music, I'd *own* it. Now, I just listen to the playlist and fail to really connect to the artist

IMHO discovering new music is a state of mind. I had a dormant period where I dwelled in Dead bootlegs
@internetarchive so I’ve been there but if you’re not discovering new music, don’t blame tech https://open.spotify.com/track/1kiNatIrwDusOZfR29W0LJ?si=SFiKw8_ZQ9S9RHnbsP9I8g …2 replies 0 retweets 1 like
I'm discovering tons. It's remembering that's the odd problem!
