And since God loves us he won’t allow us to go on sinning this way without some hard pruning. So let’s get ahead of it and repent from doing it now and enjoy this medium for healthy mutual sharpening of one another with fair and generous intentions towards one another.

I think that a lot of people who use exaggerated language actually believe it. They aren't merely trying to get attention & the fact that it gains an audience on Twitter can harden them in their views. As political left & right work out their moral visions differently it's

somewhat inevitable, but as politics becomes more pervasive this gets carried over into the church where there should be a lot more unity & grace.
