She's amazing. After she was widowed around the age of 70, she got back together with her high school boyfriend who she had left behind in the Netherlands when she managed to get out. They spent another couple of decades together, splitting time between California and The Hague.
Just found the photo of us from ten years ago when I went to visit her and her boyfriend, Wim, in the Hague. We are standing in front of the house where she grew up.pic.twitter.com/lsoQlneX5j
I'll call her later and explain that she's going viral and hope this won't weird her out. Since she doesn't have a soundcloud, I'll add that her car (she only stopped driving a few years ago) was covered with stickers for Medicare for All, Planned Parenthood, etc.
I told her how many people liked these tweets and she couldn’t stop laughing.pic.twitter.com/kKnXHW5VTz
ah, this is so wonderful! (so, by the sounds of it, is she!)
That’s so much! Hope it’s not presumptuous to send hugs your way. (Spouse’s 95yo gmother was vaccinated recently. Lots of relief over here.)
This is so moving. Thanks for sharing.
Spouse's 98-year-old mother vaccinated this week, too. Also loves coffee.
I'm so having coffee this beautiful morning
