The periods of my life where I've successfully woken up early have been very impactful.
I'm WAY out of that habit, so as a public commitment, I'm posting my planning to get back into. Open to suggestions for improving the plan.

1. Same time every fucking day
Normally I get 6.5 to 8 hours of sleep, which is sufficient for me. But I'm not naturally a "good sleeper", and once or twice a week something goes really wrong and I get more like 5...

It's those nights that have always thrown off my efforts to establish an early waking habit, as I let myself sleep in the next day.
My understanding is that being consistent about wake up time is key to training your body, so I'm just going to have to suffer through those days.

2. Using a wake light alarm. I have one of these things on my side of the bed. Gonna use it and hope my partner can tolerate it.

3. Straight to my office
Having a clear purpose was the real crux when this has worked in the past, so the first thing I'll do will be to head up to my office to work on something hard.
