    The irony of course is Labour don't want the next election to be fought on . If goes wrong, it will make govt look incompetent, but Labour will be forced onto weaker ground during the campaign damaging their chances.

    Sir John Curtice advice to next Labour leader: 🔹You don't need to adopt a position on . 🔹Just act as opposition to unravel perceptions of competence of govt, undermining confidence in their ability to deliver. 🔹For 2 or 3 years you don’t need clearer position.
