I landed at Flying Lab Software in Seattle where I stuck around until 2008, so it all worked out pretty well for me.

Then in September they laid us all off. Sierra was in the middle of imploding at the time. Kind of a perfect introduction to the game industry, I guess. Lots of my co-workers had more than one job per year over the next few years.

This is smart. One of the most common questions that what I call "spreadsheet-style investors" ask is "How big is the market?" In the early days of some of the most disruptive companies, there wasn't a good answer (Dropbox, Airbnb, Facebook, Craigslist, Google, Ebay, etc)

Pretty good seats for a baseball game. First base is kinda tall at this concert though. Looking forward to Foo Fighters!

I’m a reasonable guy, I follow all the tall guy rules: stand in the back at concerts, help people reach things, etc. All I ask in return is that everybody who slams their airplane seat back be sent to the Hague.
