@RubinReport thoughts? Is this eye-for-an-eye tactic productive? Will this fix polarization or fuel it?Show this threadThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

"Its sad that people can't enjoy a show (the Tony awards) without (Robert DeNiro) politicizing it." How dont you see the hypocrisy of your own statement?? Your one-sided stance and tunnel-vision betray your true affiliations... Both sides at fault here, but Robert started it.
-
There’s no hypocrisy. I’ve pointed out that I disagree with DeNiro’s remark for the same reason I tweeted this. Both were unnecessary and inappropriate acts of “protest”. If he wanted to protest the show, don’t buy a ticket and give the show more support. Seems rather stupid.
-
Don't you see that this is done in retaliation? He deserved it.
-
Listen, I understand his motive. I just don’t agree with it. I do not support anyone who voices their political beliefs in a setting that is designated for a purpose. Sports are sports. Concerts are concerts. Plays are plays. Political rallies are political rallies.
-
This “eye for an eye” tactic will not be synthesized into a constructive remedy for for politicization. We chose to remain in our trenches and avoid “No Mans Land”: honest discussion.
-
Also a centrist, I get it. But they are winning. The have taken over damn near every facet of life. Google, Facebook, youtube, k12 through college, pretty much all of our courts, etc. Progressives dont play by the rules. They are propagandists and they are taking over the world.

.yup. i remember the hamilton cast doing the same thing. last year...?
-
Not sure when it happened exactly. I find both disturbing to be honest. People pay for suspension of disbelief to escape our hyper-politicized society. Keep politics outside of the theater, regardless of where you fall on spectrum.
-
I find it most disturbing that you disrespect THE PRESIDENT OF 5HE USA.
-
You’re talking to a proud supporter sweetheart. I don’t support anyone who wants to disrupt the normalcy of life whenever we can achieve it. People don’t need to hear the Hamilton cast lecture Pence nor see this guy waving a banner.
-
This was a protest of Robert DeNiro, which I have no problem with. He, as well as much of Hollywood, have used their positions of power to attack We the People. The holder of the flag waiting until the end of the show, so it doesn't look like any part of the production was ruined
-
I know. I know the holder of that flag. And to him I say 'thank you"!

Hi Joe, I'm with NBC4NY. Great shot --Wondering if you shot this photo? And if so, if NBCU can use it in perpetuity with a credit to you? Thanks!
-
Yes to both.
-
Great, thanks Joe!
-
No problem!
