The topic was about "acting". I mentioned to HC that Brando had said the same thing he had tweeted regarding acting. Elsewhere, HC found the video clip and posted it. The subject is about "acting". Not Brando's personal problems.

I was just agreeing with his point about life being an act. Thought the same thing for years. The dude changed acting for the better and his stance on sexuality was awesome. Sure, he was megalomaniac but who in Hollywood isn't?

His latter years certainly didn't do him much good. Became a caricature of himself. But his early work was ground-breaking man. He was one of the first to use natural human reactions on the screen. Best actor of all time? Silly statement but Daniel Day Lewis springs to mind.

I never praised Brando per se. Simply stated he is held in high regard when it comes to the art of acting. Duvall, Pacino, DeNiro, Hoffman, Nicholson. etc. all say Brando was the master of the art. But, yes, Brando's personal life was a mess...
