Antinatalists of the world, congratulate yourselves! I know there's way too much self-congratulation in this world. But you've earned it. You are the heroes who offer humanity blessed escape from the unbearable tragedies of war, violence, disease and death. I love you all.

That's the one thing I take pride in. I never procreated. I was married. She wanted children. I did not. For a long time, I felt conflicted about it. But now I'm glad I didn't. The older I get, the more I realize I did the right thing.

Amazing! Think about the theoretically infinite number of future deaths of future generations we have prevented. I can't think of anything one could possibly be prouder of! We are literally the messiah to those generations whose deaths we have averted. They are safe and sound!

I don't think the human species has that much of a future. With destruction of the ecology and global warming and mass extinction of wildlife, Homo sapiens's tenure here is about over. But you're right. At least we didn't make others to have to suffer thru it

We divorced. She remarried a guy who had two young sons. She said that made up for not having kids. She knew before we married I was dead set against procreation. She died in '03 from cancer. I carried her casket up to the graveyard.
