If I knew that for sure, I would be hanging from the nearest tree. Depending on the condition of one's soul, death may very well be an entry into another dimension, which may be better or worse than the one we're in now.

Everyone wants live forever, so they made up the possibility of existing in multiple dimensions...

People made up "death is the only redemption" but they don't act on it. If it were true, they'd slit their throats immediately.
Death IS another dimension. The animating force leaves the body. Where it goes, I'm not sure. That's why people are hesitant to die.

There's nothing post mortem... life ends after death.
