It's not easy to break free. The Stockholm Syndrome-like hold the parents have over the child's psyche reaches deep into the subconscious realm, much deeper than merely recognizing it on an intellectual level.

Agreed. Just being born, and then trying to appease the parental units and siblings is traumatic. Then there's school and work, all of the intimidation and bullying and abuse that goes along with that. The only solution is antinatalism.
