Atheists have to keep zealously attacking God because they are still not thoroughly convinced there isn't one, just as believers have to keep zealously attacking unbelief because they are still insecure in their own faith

The ones I read generally said they disagreed with religious people's opinions and didn't want them involved in politics. But disagreeing with someone's opinion and not wanting them in political office is common on all fronts. None of which addresses my original hypothesis.
