I feel like just taking a backpack full of books and water and walking into the woods to read until I starve to death and die from exposure as a storm pours down rain so frigid it numbs my body and leaves my mind to be swallowed by the cold sky.

I almost died from hypothermia as a cold wind blew in a hard rain and I was hiking in the mountains of West Virginia, near Spruce Knob. I got real sleepy and lethargic and if my brother hadn't been with me, I would've nodded off into the void for sure...
