A few yrs ago I was talking to a client + she told me about the Shakers who r Christian sect that used to adopt/foster many children from very rough backgrounds. They helped rehabilitate those children + they became functioning members of society. Those are people to be admired.

I visited a Shaker community somewhere in Kentucky when I was a young man. They were master builders of furniture. That community I visited has since died out.

If Iβm not mistaken, I think I heard about that too. They still have a centre here in my city but itβs small + Iβve almost heard nothing of them. Have you heard of the Exclusive Brethren church?

I've told you before about my trip to the Shaker community. It was in a remote area west of Lexington, KY. My lady friend at the time wanted to go there. They made incredible furniture. I found their celibacy to be novel at the time. No, not familiar with Exclusive Brethren...

Exclusive Brethren are kind of cult like, run by rich conservatives + I think they are somewhat similar to Jehovahβs witnesses in exclusivity + ex-communicating people who stray away from the church. They have branches internationally + own a successful junk food shop in my city.

There are tens of thousands of cults, maybe more. Why are you interested in this one?

Bc they used to have a school very close to where I live that they uprooted. Their women are kind of dressed like nuns in navy blue. Iβm interested in cults that are close to where I live bc I like to psychoanalyse cults especially ones close to home.

Oh, yeah, okay. Have fun. Just don't drink the koolaid lol.

I wonβt. Exclusive Brethren have a branch in America + they go by βPlymouth Brethrenβ over there. They are evangelicals.
