Perhaps it is the illusion of some kind of "relationship" taking place which drives the industry

Definitely. These chicks are sending the same pic and caption to 500-600 schmuck who're lapping it up and paying monthly subscription and tips aplenty. They pay money to get their names spoken on livestreams.

My last relationship (a real one, flesh and blood lol) told me she divorced her husband when she found out he had several of these online "affairs" going on. The guy was a doctor, not a low IQ. I was surprised at how people are taken in by this phenomenon.

And affairs are such a common thing these days. A stable, honest relationship where two people are only with each other, that stuff is a unicorn in today's times.

Perhaps. I would hazard a guess that are some couples who remain faithful to each other. But I agree that that sort of thing, fidelity, seems to be fading away as society becomes more nihilistic.

People remain faithful because they've given up in life or they are boring. Interesting people attract other interesting people, without fail. And as we are more online, it happens more and more. Insta is a cesspool of degeneracy.

I think the reasons people stay faithful are much broader and more idealistic than what you enumerate. But, as social mores continue to decline in the West, a spirit of harlotry, to borrow a Biblical phrase, has gripped the culture.

We are in full harlot mode in every part of the globe. I don't think anyone in our generation in faithful for idealistic reasons. They either can't handle the heat of an affair or they've not gotten the opportunity.

Maybe, maybe not. Is there any data available to corroborate your assumptions? And, then, how is said data to be measure, or, interpreted? I'm gonna go with some are faithful, some are not... maybe... I don't know lol

My thoughts on infidelity is from talking to women online and in my circles. Most have had flings after marriage and they're actively doing it too. The adultery subreddits is full of stories. It's assumptions, yes. But it's easy to carry multiple affairs today.

I don't talk to any women online except for Sarah, a resident here on Twitter. I should ask her if your hypothesis is correct. What is the margin of error in the method you utilize? lol jk

You definitely hang out in different circles than I do. But you know it's happening out there and everywhere. Thing is, we'll never know the true extent of fuckery that goes on online.

I don't hang out in any circles lol... I don't like people, in general. The more reclusive I become, the better I feel.
