10 years ago, the population of my city was only 80,000 people. It has grown to 90,000 + that feels like hell alreadyβ¦ so much traffic, so hard to find parking when going shopping if you donβt come very early, hard to get appointments in general. I really hate that so much.

The more overpopulated a place gets, the more frustrated I getβ¦ eventually I will end up moving to a tiny, insignificant redneck small town bc at least over there I can escape the horrors of traffic + modernity. The more isolated, the betterβ¦ it isβ¦

That's what I did. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.

Hopefully I achieve some level of financial freedom in the future so I can afford to move further out into the countryside.

It's actually much more affordable to live in a rural district, at least, here in the States. That's actually the reason I relocated. I couldn't afford to live in the city anymore. lol

For me it isnβt about money. Iβm autistic + I need a lot of space alone, crowds drive me insaneβ¦ so I guess Iβd move for the sake of my sanity, lol.

Well, then, if you've got the money, go for it. Head out to the sticks, as they saying goes.

I will, inshallah someday.

Are you getting your deen back together, Muslimah?
Replying to
I will always be culturally Muslim. It's hard to break free from religion a 100%, so I use some Islamic phrases with my friends who understand them. I don't see myself going back to any organised religion anytime soon. My bio profile in Arabic says I'm a Pagan, lol.

I used to hang with Muslims back in the 90's. Almost invariably, if you asked one of the brothers if they were gonna go to the masjid or do this or that and if they said "inshallah", it pretty much meant it wasn't going to happen lol... used to laugh about it
