Is it just me, or does it become harder to respect your parents if you are AN? You can respect your parents as people... that is how I see mine. I still feel some internal conflict bc my parents are the source of all my suffering and misery.

I can't answer that because I never had any respect for my parents

Damn! That was quick. You're on the ball. Good job.
You know about my upbringing. Continuous violence and intimidation. I had a "fuck you" attitude towards them which continues to grow til this day. I tried therapy but to no avail. My parents were assholes.

are early on. I'm sorry you suffered for it. FWIW, I think most therapists are useless + therapy is mostly a money making scheme with no real solutions. I have a strategy of how to introduce AN to that specific audience.

It's hard for me to believe people still follow Confuse-us.
I learned that about therapists after going thru a half dozen or so. My last relationship was with a therapist. She was nuttier than some of her clients. But the sex was good.

IKR. Confucius really threw children under the bus.
I have been to quite a few therapists - I had an okay therapist in the US who I worked with online. I think I'm damaged goods beyond repair, but I have my ways of self-soothing.
