I did a little bit of googling and it's actually an interpretation of the ancient Theravadin text Mahavagga by H. Singh Gour, in his book The Spirit of Buddhism (2005), pp. 286–288

I agree with the gist of Hari Singh Gour's text. I've been saying for years that the way to get off of the Wheel of Birth and Death is to stop pro-creating it. It's pretty obvious. Buddhists and Vedantists alike, though, will argue against this obvious truth.

I agree in vedanta there is very similar concept. Whether you study vedanta or buddhiam in both Philosophy the goal of life is to stop this wheel of birth and death which is only possible through self realization.

All one has to realize is that if you impose existence on another, you are perpetuating suffering and death
