I did a little bit of googling and it's actually an interpretation of the ancient Theravadin text Mahavagga by H. Singh Gour, in his book The Spirit of Buddhism (2005), pp. 286–288

Yes it's an interpretation, this is how buddha used to say. He didn't say anything directly. He rejected vedas, cast, brahmins, rituals etc. But you can't find him saying exactly that he rejects them. The way he speaks makes it clear what he meant, it's always interpretation.

I agree with the gist of Hari Singh Gour's text. I've been saying for years that the way to get off of the Wheel of Birth and Death is to stop pro-creating it. It's pretty obvious. Buddhists and Vedantists alike, though, will argue against this obvious truth.
