I was literally a slave for my parents when I was a teen. Had to work for his business as soon as I got out of school until around 8pm. No pay. Father said I lived in HIS house & ate HIS food, thus, I owed him for birthing me into slavery for him.

In his book, Raphael Samuel touched on how Asian parents force their children into high paying careers so they can afford to give their parents a comfortable retirement. I didn’t realise this, I always thought parents wanted their children to make a lot of money to live well.
