As weird as it sounds, Iβm actually enjoying doing basic maths in unit conversions for construction. As someone who hated maths in my adolescence, Iβm finding myself enjoying it βΊοΈ weirdly enough.

Indeed. I was learning about the rational mind vs. the emotional mind in therapy + how the wise mind is where we should be, in balance of both. I lack rationality sometimes + can be impulsive. I guess the math + accounting side of my career can help balance that more.

Most people can't understand fractions, which are ratios, or percentages, which determine the probability of given events, and instead they make decisions based on their emotions and suffer the consequences

Itβs frustrating when people have difficulty understanding basic mathematics. Iβm terrible at math, at least I can understand the basics. My OCD obsession with making lists has helped stop me from making some bad decisions in a spur of the moment.

Do you make lists of possible choices or alternative solutions for a given problem?
I try, in general, to use percentages when making decisions, such as which course of action has the highest probability of not being an utter failure and so on.

I learnt in therapy to use brainstorming as a reasoning strategy for problems. I usually go over solutions + choices in my mind. I think your strategy sounds good. Using percentages to evaluate your decisions makes planning + deciding even more strategic + purposeful.
