I'm attracted to Gnosticism because it is not hand-wavy about the problem of evil. Do I believe in a literal Demiurge? No, but it's symbolic for how I view this world.

I need to learn more about Gnosticism. Been reading history of early Christianity and Gnosticism seems to be an outgrowth of that movement. Apostles Paul and John have a lot of gnostic ideas in their writings.
