My tweet was in reference to someone in this thread saying that if scripture commanded that squirrels be venerated, most would probably do so. So, it made me think of the ancient 'sacred cow' veneration of India.
I would say cows in the USA are worse off.

Yeah, it's all about the veneration of suffering.
But, at least, Jesus was an antinatalist (and, so was the Apostle Paul, the real founder of Christianity).
As an Indian. I can guarantee you that, we have the cow worship thing here. Cows are sacred here. It's a very complicated, messy tradition.
