Happy/sad are human emotions. "No reason to be happy/sad" is apathy.

Exactly. A true nihilist does not care. A nihilist has no ideals or moral standards to care about or to live up to.

Apart from the ones he sets for himself. This is a philosophical suicide, but it is a result of nihilism. Else a person can replace religion with any other mass movement.
