One thing I admire about the culture I was raised in is that Nowhere it is said that life is a gift, it's more of something you have to go through. The main aim is to get out of the endless cycle of birth and death, that is to go back to non existence. To never be born again

We have plenty of "life is a gift" people. But the cultural n traditional philosophy doesn't exactly sat that anywhere. Infact it says that birth is a curse and non existance is the highest state of achievement.

I'm a big fan of Indian philosophy. I love Ramana Maharshi, the sage of Arunachala, a mountain near Tiruvannamalai. He was antinatalist and taught that we should mourn our birth, not celebrate it.
Yes, I think I have heard of him. I like Indian philosophy too, there's a lot of crazy stuff but the core of it, is kind of atheist and pessimistic. They even state that grief is the nature of life. Indian philosophy is interesting to read and learn.

It's kind of antinatalist as birth in its core is considered as a form of punishment, it's definitely never stated that it's a gift.
