The universe lets us go up in space and fly around, exploring. It lets us walk on the moon (with the proper equipment). And the universe lets tornadoes rip apart houses, earthquakes shake down buildings, and volcanoes cover cities with lava.

Has anyone ever seen the universe?

I can remember the first time I "saw" it, I was about 3 years old and it almost annihilated me. But what did I see? Just a bunch of stars so very far away.
