It's like I've been put on this ride of which I had no control over and the ride is moving by itself I know not where and I can do nothing except ride it out

In my experience nothing moves by itself life just forces things to move through pain and necessity. I would love to just sit back and ride it out but it seems more like im being whipped and forced to push it forward.
