Over three hundred people downvoted this video. Presumably they find it too long (3 minutes), or they don't feel they have any responsibility or capacity to deal with the #ClimateCrisis, or they personally benefit from turning the biosphere into a poisonous pile of plastic debris

Maybe I should have chosen a more appropriate hashtag. Although I'm inclined to believe in the reality of anthropogenic climate change, I think the video points out that if we don't radically reduce our consumption & pollution we will leave an ugly mess as our legacy. #extinction

I'll grant that some thoughtful people have doubts that climate change is primarily man-made. Nevertheless, our current rate of growth, upon which predatory industrial capitalism depends, will make our lives not only shorter, but worse.

That's the elephant in the room... overpopulation. But you won't hear Greta Thunberg and her constituency talk about that. Some suspect the "climate crisis" is a ploy by the left to gain political power.

If anyone wants to come up with a ploy to *lose* political power, might I suggest mentioning the elephant in the room, overpopulation?
