absolutely. being overwhelmed by tribal mind via threats of physical and emotional violence from our "superiors" - we always know what's true - we're forced to at least pretend to conform - it's such an endless act to be human

I lie to myself all the time. Especially when I'm in a relationship. I see the red flags but I convince myself, no, that's not really what's happening, it will get better, yada yada yada... later I beat myself up because I knew but wouldn't admit it to myself

we have to lie to ourselves - it gets boring otherwise - or it's not like we're in a stable state - we fall into these dream worlds, especially when we interact with an "other" -
