Agreed. People have children to try to fill the void in their own meaningless existence. But all they end up doing is creating more suffering, tragedy and death.

Of course. And unfortunately many children are created primarily to provide as that distraction. Few are willing to admit this, and will desparately try to justify the decision to procreate by explaining it was done for the child.
At least, that has been my experience.
