Democracy is the theory that we should let the lowest fucking common denominator, the mass majority of morons, decide on what's best for the nation

The problem is, ALL humans are fallible. All knowledge is theory laden, and all theories are prone to error. No one has the answers and no one can be the judge of what is best for us all (apart from antinatalism 😉). Elitism is a fundamentally flawed world view.

There is zero evidence of an ‘elite’ class of humans who are able to accurately predict and navigate socioeconomic landscape to produce an outcome that is significantly better than a democratically established landscape (free markets, democracy).

Economics suffers from science envy. So there is this illusion amongst some politicians that the word of the economist is as trustworthy as the advice of an aerospace engineer with regards to an aircraft. Economics can never be a science. Politics can never be a science.

It’s a cycle, every dictatorship is eventually toppled as the people demand freedom thus re-establishing democracy. However, this is hardly ever by peaceful means. Democracy is the only way to peacefully remove leaders

What Ive observed is that democracies are repeatedly removing leaders in other people's countries in the most brutal & horrifying ways imaginable. The USA (a "democracy" in form only, not in substance) is the king of "regime change" by overwhelming violence

Agreed, but not sure if there’s enough evidence to suggest the alternative would be any better. Democracy needs to be improved for sure eg enough evidence to suggest the masses didn’t want to go to war in Iraq, yet the governments in western nations did so anyway

But like you say, democracy in name only. I still don’t see how an alternative government structure would stop wars. Especially a dictatorial one or one run by ‘elites’.

I can't remember if youre antinatalist or not, but, just being born is tyrannical, violent, oppressive. The very essence of life is violence & oppression. There's no escaping it.
