I live in a rural area, surrounded by junkies, thieves, rapists and killers. The woman was broke down on a country road. She said cars were going by. No one stopped. But I did. I'm old skool. Even the rural areas of US are like a ghetto, now.

I know my neighbors and that's why I try to avoid them. Hahaha. But, if one of them is out on the road broke down, or hitching a ride, or, if they come to me & really need help, I will help them if I can. Once, I gave most of my furniture to them. I'm nuts.

Many times, this "heart of gold" has gotten me entangled in situations I wish to hell I had never gotten into. I am so stupid that I often think that what people are telling me is the truth, to find out later it's nothing but bullshit.

I don't know. I think I'm getting better at saying "no". But I'm weak. If they catch me off guard, there's no telling what they might get me to do.
