People quote "be fruitful & multiply & replenish the earth" out of context (Gen. 1:28). God said this after he had re-formed the earth out of the chaos it had descended into. "Replenish" means to "reboot", in a way. The command wasnt meant to be in perpetuity

Most people, especially Christians, don't read the Bible. And, if they do, they lack basic reading comprehension skills. Most just parrot what they've heard some money grubbing preacher tell them.
The Bible should only be read as metaphor, as symbolic.
