Happiness has got nothing to do with it, trust me. They're old school, Great Depression babies, Dad's a WWII vet. Their generation, people stayed together no matter how much suffering & pain is involved.

It used to be like that here in the State, but since the Hippy Dippy Free Love generation happened all of that moral horseshit was thrown out. Why the fuck woud anyone wanna get married? "O baby, I love you. I know.. let's get the state involved... ooh, yeah"
