i hate remakes. the only 1 i thought was good was Dawn of the Dead, but it still wasn't as good as the original most of them come up pathetically short: like Halloween & Texas Chainsaw Massacre & why the fuck did they remake Footloose? jus watch the original, FFS (tho i wouldn't) t.co/U59zpPK6Og

I like all the Texas Chainsaw remakes. They're not really remakes but variations on a theme. The two with R. Lee Ermy are damned good. There's one with Matthew McConaughey & Rene Zellweger that's hilarious. TCM has become a franchise. But the 1974 one is best

i've seen some: all of them lacking the magic of the 1st. you can put some pumped-up guy in the Leatherface role, but it takes more than that to make a great movie

I disagree & stand by my original tweet. The two with R. Lee Ermy in a starring role (including one along with Jessica Biel... hubba hubba) are really good. Leatherface is never the central character in any of them, anyway. Scene from TCM 2003
